Bubble Activities for Kids – Happy Hooligans

Bubble blowing season is right around the corner, and your kids are probably dying to bust out the bubble solution and wands, and get down to making bubbles in the backyard.The following bubble activities are inexpensive, and they never fail to fascinate and entertain.

We do lots of different bubble activities when we’re playing in the backyard here in my home daycare, and I thought it would be fun to share them with you in case you’re looking for new, fun ways to play with bubbles at your house.

We have a homemade bubble solution that makes the biggest bubbles ever, as well as various, homemade bubble blowers, and we have several very cool and creative bubble activities that will keep the kids entertained and happy this summer.

And hey, if you can’t remember where you stashed your store-bought bubble mix before winter set in, lots of these activities call for homemade bubble mix that you can make with kitchen ingredients! You’ll find the recipes in the posts below!

Fun and Easy Bubble Activities for Kids:

Giant Homemade Bubbles Science Activity

Homemade Giant Bubble Mix: You can blow the biggest bubbles ever with our homemade bubble solution!  All you need are 5 ingredients from your kitchen, and just look at the size of the bubbles it makes!  They’re ENORMOUS!

This mixture is great for a group bubble activity at school, and awesome for a family get-together because the adults will love making these bubbles as much as the kids do.

Quick and Easy Homemade Bubble Blower: What do you do if you can’t find your bubble blowers?  You make your own!  Here’s a super-simple way to make a homemade bubble blower .  It won’t last forever, but it certainly makes some great bubbles in a pinch!

Drinking Straw Bubble Pipe: Here’s a homemade bubble pipe that you can make at home.  It’s so easy! Just grab a straw and a coffee filter, and you’re good to go! Fast, easy, fun!!

Bubble Tower Activity: If you need to keep the kids busy for a few minutes while you’re making lunch, or making a phone call, let them make bubble towers!  I LOVE this easy bubble activity, and the kids do too!

Painting with Bubbles: Here’s a fun and unique way to make art with bubbles!  We used this fun bubble art process to decorate the tail feathers on our Thanksgiving turkey craft one year.  The process is a lot of fun, and the results were really pretty.
